![]() I strongly recommend a rental car but bring proof of your car insurance or you will have to purchase an insurance policy. The casino is very small but great for beginners as it has $10 min tables. My room was right outside the tikibar and I had no noise issues. The game lasted 15 minutes and then it was done. Answers were recorded and the winner got a free drink. I only saw.one activity in 5 days and it was a very odd game called ' Guess how many pages are in the book." Some one walked around to every one sitting by the pool and showed them a book. And you might meet Kali the cat who hangs around inside the pool house. When you grab your pool towel you may see an activity board some days but not all. I would grab food at Roots to Go and sit by the pool or fire rather than eat at the tiki bar. There is a nice fire pit at night if you can find a chair. As many people have said the tiki bar drinks are over priced at $17 for vodka soda and the clock is broken. After lying their stuff down they disappear for hours. One major issue is people waking before 8am to mark their territory by the pool. The kids on vacation with their families frequent the hot tub though. The beach was very rough but the beach chairs are free and many available. The staff is extremely friendly and plenty of them around if you have a question. ![]() Just spent 5 days in Margaritaville and will definitely be back. Also, I was worried about the parrots they keep caged outside the front entrance, but I did at least notice they covered the cages at night. It seems upscale when you arrive through the golf course, etc., but people still let their doors slam late at night and let their children run through the halls very early in the morning. I’d recommend staying here a few nights and then a few nights in or near Old San Juan or wherever else you intend to go. We found it to be cheaper/better to Uber than rent a car and pay for parking/gas, but you are pretty remote from the nearest store at this resort. Enough room for a bunch of adults to stand around with drinks in hand, I suppose! The hot tub was nice, and the beach was lovely. The pool is small compared to the Wyndham side. It would’ve been nice to have a laminated card with basic instructions and a couple of recipes (at the very least, the recipes would encourage more people to order the expensive drinks down at the pool bar). There was a fancy margarita blender near the kitchen, but no instructions. The view of the hills/jungle was beautiful, and I’m sure the ocean view on the other side was even better! Loved the bathroom fixtures. The room was a nice size, with a kitchen and seating area (the table has a lever that lifts it up to dining height–we didn’t discover that until a day or two after arriving). What a refreshing change from Club Wyndham - we checked in and went right to our room, without being harangued to attend a morning time-share sales pitch.
